Image
Sometimes,we need to be grateful for what we have now.Hopefully everyone can enjoy this short film and can learn the valuable moral that presented in the video. "And (remember) when your Lord said: Verily! If you are grateful I will increase My favor to you and indeed, if you disbelieve, My punishment is very painful." (Surah Ibrahim, verse 7)

How Zakat works

Image
In Islam, Zakat is a moral responsibility to Muslims who have a Major control over the administrative structure of the Islamic region. Zakat is an instrument of financial management that seeks to alleviate poverty and hardship by putting responsibility towards the recipient(asnaf) on those who are wealthy, which was clearly stated in the Al Quran. The importance of zakat in the implementation of a country is to ensure justice, social cohesion and bridging the distance between cultures and communities and avoid the incidence of animosity and hate between individuals. Even though the responsibility of zakat is imposed on individuals, but the effect is not only to have the target group of zakat recipients, but also the zakat institutions themselves.

HOW TO BUILD NON POVERTY SOCIETY ?

Image
What is the first thing that come to your mind if you see an old man going around the dump trash collecting cans just for one meal for that day?  What come to your mind if you see homeless sleeping along the street drenched in the rain as if been forgotten by the society? What come to your mind if you see the poor struggle everyday just to put food on the table for the family?  Now question ourselves what can we do?

COVID-19:ISLAMIC SOCIAL FINANCE SUSTAINED THE ECONOMY?

Image
The coronavirus pandemic has shown us a new world with a new norm.  As  the  epidemic overwhelms our bodies and societies, millions of people are witnessing untold misery and suffering.   The  pandemic  has  forced  us,  rich  and  poor,  to  rethink  almost  every  aspect  of  how  we  live while  the  scope  of  COVID19  is  only  just  beginning  to  be  felt. The UNDP reports that global human growth, a combination of education, health and standards of living will collapse for the first time in 2020. To balance the resources  in  society  and  to  avoid economic exploitation, Islamic finance was planned at the birth of Islam .  The  comprehensive, sophisticated structure, also referred to as shari'ah compliant finance and economics only exist in Islam.  Via  wealth  redistribu...

What The Prophet Said about The Poor 💓

Image
One of the great examples that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) brought was the rights and treatment of the poor. 💞  💞  💞 Narrated by Syedana Haritha bin Wahab: I heard the Prophet saying, "O people! Give in charity as a time will come upon you when a person will wander about with his object of charity and will not find anybody to accept it, and one (who will be requested to take it) will say, "If you had brought it yesterday, would have taken it, but today I am not in need of it." (Sahih Al-Bukhari) Volume 2, Book 24, Number 492.  In another hadith, it explained what the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would do when he encountered poor people: Narrated Syedana Abu Burda bin Abu Musa: That his father said: "Whenever a beggar came to Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) or he was asked for something, he (peace & blessings of Allah be upon him) used to say (to his companions), "Help and recommend him and you will receive the reward for it; and ...

"POVERTY IS FRUSTRATING !"💢

Image
In this powerful short film, from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) and Connected Pictures, the experiences of seven people are illustrated in their own words. The film portrays that poverty has different dimensions, 'Poverty' means lots of things, that will also be different for different people. One of them said, "Poverty is frustrating. It seems as if you are fighting against a tide, and the tide is always running against you." The film also provides an awareness of how the conditions of people limit their desire to freely live their lives and fulfill their potential. It reveals the injustice of being held back by poverty poignantly - and that it doesn't have to be this way. The unmistakable conclusion of the film is that it is possible to overcome poverty if our economy and services are revamped for each and every one of us and if we all work together for a common purpose.

REDUCE POVERTY BY AT LEAST 50% By 2030, reduce at least by half the proportion of men, women and children of all ages living in poverty in all its dimensions according to national definitions. GOAL to Transform Our World

Image
Eradicating poverty is not a task of charity but an act of justice and the key to unlocking an enormous human potential. Still, almost half of the world’s population lives in poverty, and lack of food and clean water is killing thousands every single day of the year.         As of 2015, about 736 million people still lived on less than US$1.90 a day; many lack foods, clean drinking water, and sanitation. China and India are rapid growth in countries that have lifted millions out of poverty, but progress has been uneven. Women tend to be poor than men because they have less paid work, education, and own less property. Another progress in other regions like South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa have accounted for 80 percent of those living in extreme poverty. New menaces brought on by climate change, conflict, and food insecurity, mean even more work is needed to bring people out of poverty.         The SDGs...

Be grateful

And ˹remember˺ when your Lord proclaimed, ‘If you are grateful, I will certainly give you more. But if you are ungrateful, surely My punishment is severe.’”  Surah Ibrahim (14:7) How to be grateful? Share rizq with other 😼 Muslims believe that everything belongs to  Allah . Because wealth also belongs to Allah, money should be used responsibly. Muslims believe they must be  compassionate  because everyone is a special creation of Allah. Giving to charity and helping other...

What is No Poverty ?

Image
'The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.' - United Nation Development Programme. No poverty is the first over 17 priority of the SDGs.  More than 700 million people are now living in extreme poverty, according to statistics. It's absolutely heartbreaking to watch people who can't afford basics like lodging, food, and fabric. It should make us think of what we should do to alleviate suffering by seeing their misery.  Mother Teresa once said 'as long as poverty injustice and gross inequality persist in our world, none of us can truly rest'. Try to imagine that we're in their place. It's very sad and I believe it's very tiring to think about.  There is no time for us to relax while others are suffering.    It is the time for us to shine ...
