"POVERTY IS FRUSTRATING !"💢
In this powerful short film, from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) and Connected Pictures, the experiences of seven people are illustrated in their own words.
The film portrays that poverty has different dimensions, 'Poverty' means lots of things, that will also be different for different people. One of them said, "Poverty is frustrating. It seems as if you are fighting against a tide, and the tide is always running against you."
The film also provides an awareness of how the conditions of people limit their desire to freely live their lives and fulfill their potential.
It reveals the injustice of being held back by poverty poignantly - and that it doesn't have to be this way.
The unmistakable conclusion of the film is that it is possible to overcome poverty if our economy and services are revamped for each and every one of us and if we all work together for a common purpose.
