What is No Poverty ?
'The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.' -United Nation Development Programme.
No poverty is the first over 17 priority of the SDGs. More than 700 million people are now living in extreme poverty, according to statistics. It's absolutely heartbreaking to watch people who can't afford basics like lodging, food, and fabric. It should make us think of what we should do to alleviate suffering by seeing their misery.
Mother Teresa once said 'as long as poverty injustice and gross inequality persist in our world, none of us can truly rest'.
Try to imagine that we're in their place. It's very sad and I believe it's very tiring to think about. There is no time for us to relax while others are suffering.
It is the time for us to shine 💫💫
We will update the post on how to overcome the poverty in the other post. Keep waiting ❤❤
As for SDGs, one of the goals is gender equality. I knew this is a bit off topic, but do you support that UN goals?
ReplyDeleteThe SDGs regarding gender equality are more focusing on women's right in terms of economic, development and safety. Woman in Islam were very precious and should be protected and treated properly. As long as the goals is parallel with Islamic concept, it is relevant to be supported. Hope your question are answered :)
